Social work CEU presentation at MMH

Niki Sidle, MSW, LISW-S, will present “Dying with Dignity: An Ethical and Holistic Approach,” at Mennonite Memorial Home, Bluffton, on Thursday, July 19, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.  The presentation is approved for 3 social work contact hours in ethics.  Pre-registration is required.

Goals for the presentation are:
• Explore the meaning of holistic care and how to practice
• Discuss misconceptions about end of life care
• Discuss cultural and religious views on death as well as familial dynamic influence
• Discuss the attempt to find meaning in losses, lives and most importantly, one’s own death
* Review the Touchstones and grief processes
