Bluffton University fall choral concert Oct. 10

Bluffton University's annual fall choral concert is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, in Yoder Recital Hall. Free and open to the public, the concert will showcase three choirs: Camerata Singers and Accent!, each directed by Dr. Mark J. Suderman, and Bel Canto, directed by David Sawatzky. Anna Stembler-Smith will accompany both Accent! and Bel Canto on piano, while Allison Ringold will accompany Camerata Singers.

Camerata Singers, a selective mixed chorus, will perform five pieces, including Genna Rae McNeil's "When visited by storms," which will feature soloist Blake Zickafoose, a senior from Lima, Ohio.

Accent!, an all-male chorus, will present four selections. One of them, "Kitty of Coleraine," an Irish folk song arranged by Daniel McDavitt, is a four-handed piano piece on which senior Brandon Fullenkamp of Wapakoneta, Ohio, will join Stembler-Smith.

Bel Canto, an all-female choir, will perform four pieces as well. "Lauliku Lapsep~oli" by Veljo Tormis will feature the ensemble of Kim Rupert, a sophomore from Ottawa, Ohio; Sarah Inskeep, a freshman from Radnor, Ohio; Laurel Baker, a senior from Bradner, Ohio; Robin Snyder, a senior from Delta, Ohio; and Kitanya Murray and Samantha Green, both juniors from Findlay, Ohio.

The choir will also present an arrangement of "Ave Maria" by Allan Bevan that will include two soloists, senior Sarah Diller of Bluffton, Ohio, and junior Kristin Beckman of Ottawa, Ohio.
