Barbara Wood was a resident of Willow Ridge
Barbara J. Wood, 91, passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 30, 2018, at 8:55 a.m. at the Freida House at Willow Ridge, Bluffton.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1927, in Kenton, Ohio, to Chester E. and Helen (Griffis) Brown who preceded her in death. On July 1, 1950, she married Charles E. Wood and he survives in Bluffton.
Barbara was a former office secretary at Kenton High School and a homemaker. She was a member of the Ada First United Methodist Church. She was a former member of the Christ United Methodist Church in Wauseon and Lake Panasoffkee United Methodist Church in Florida.
Also surviving is a son, Steven (Susan) Wood of Findlay; three daughters: Nancy Allison of Findlay, Patricia (Bruce) Dunzweiler of Sylvania and Sue (Robert) Davie of Marcellus, N.Y.; 10 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Kay Cook.
Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov, 5, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada with Pastor Rich Bucher officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 4, at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home, Ada, and until time of service on Monday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ada First United Methodist Church and/or Maple Crest Senior Living Village, Bluffton.
