Indiana pastor to present during Spiritual Life Week
Bluffton University’s upcoming Spiritual Life Week will feature Matthew Vohwinkel, director of student ministries at Harbour Shores Church, at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, April, 9 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Using D.L. Moody’s quote, “Our greatest fear should not be failure, but of succeeding at something that doesn’t really matter,” Vohwinkel will examine what truly matter most. As Vohwinkel explains, “We want our lives to count for something, but what are we counting on to make that longing a reality?” His discussion will focus on how God’s Word answers these very questions, and why the answer should matter to us.
Vohwinkel has served at Harbour Shores since July of 2018 and was previously the pastor of student ministries at Northwest Chapel Grace Brethren Church.
At Bluffton, one week each semester is devoted to Spiritual Life Week, a special time for focusing on Christian life. Students play a major role in planning activities during the week that help strengthen growth and faithfulness in their relationship with God. The week includes guest speakers and special times of worship.
