Quilt raffle to raise funds for Swiss homestead

Bluffton Scrap Artist Quilt club are selling raffle tickets for a quilt Saturday, Sept. 28, as part of Fall Festival activities. All proceeds from the quilt raffle will go to the Swiss Community Historical Society and Homestead, 8350 Bixel Road.

The quilt was made and donated by Lin Rumer, Bluffton, and is a combination of pinks and whites.

Raffle tickets cost $1 or 6 tickets for $5. Tickets can be purchased at the Schumacher Homestead on Saturday.  The drawing will be at 3 p.m. You do not need to be present to win.

In addition to the raffle, the club is displaying their quilts on the front and back porches of Schumacher Homestead.  Also, people are invited to try their hand at quilting by putting in a few stitches into a quilt. Quilters will be on hand to give any help required. The quilt is in a wooden frame in one of the upstairs bedrooms.
