Invitation to future teachers...
High school students are invited to learn more about Bluffton University’s Educator Preparation Program, the demands and rewards of teaching, and career routes for education majors during a special event for high school juniors and seniors hosted by the Bluffton Education Organization (BEO).
The 50-member student organization will lead activities and discussion sessions during the Wednesday, Oct. 30 event. Starting at 10 a.m. with registration, the event also includes a meal and mini tour of campus.
“Education is a high-demand field with many age ranges and opportunities to explore,” said Tim Byers, assistant professor of education. “We held a similar event last February, and we’re pleased to host future teachers on our campus once again.”
Bluffton education alumni are among the best qualified in the nation, as reflected in student rankings on the Ohio Educator Preparation Performance Report.
The event is free and open to interested high school juniors and seniors. To register, contact Alyssa Eby, admissions counselor, by Oct. 25 at [email protected] T-shirts and door prizes will also be handed out during the event.
