Bluffton food pantry shelves are low
The Bluffton Community Assistance food pantry would appreciate help with the following supplies:
Personal items:
Lotions
Shampoo
Deodorant, men and women
Canned goods:
Canned meats (chicken, beef, pork)
Tuna
Soups: chunky soups, cream of mushroom, cream of chicken
Fruits (mandarin oranges, peaches, pears, fruit cocktail)
Chili beans for chili
Spaghetti noodles and spaghetti sauce
Macaroni noodles and egg noodles
Macaroni and cheese
NO corn or green beans needed at this time
Paper items:
Toilet paper and paper towels
Baking and cooking supplies:
flour, sugar, oil, salt, pepper, cake mixes
Also:
Jello and pudding mixes
Coffee, tea, lemonade mixes
Cereals and breakfast foods such as oatmeal products and breakfast bars
Spaghettios, Beefaroni
Manwich
Hamburger helper, Tuna helper
Peanut butter (16 oz.)
"The Community Assistance Food Pantry appreciates the help of the area churches and community members," said Ed Yeager, president of the Assistance board.
"Supplies are deeply appreciated and gladly received. It is important that items be delivered to St. John’s United Church of Christ by the Wednesday before the third Saturday of the month in order to give the workers time to get the shelves stocked.
The food pantry does not have a pick-up service for items. The items can be delivered to St. John’s U.C.C. between 11 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. on weekdays and on Sunday mornings by noon.
