Several volunteer opportunities available at Mennonite Home Communities of Ohio

At Mennonite Memorial Home
Medical Transport drivers:
(Licensed driver to take residents to Bluffton Lima Findlay area doctors’ appointments)
New volunteers would join a list of volunteer drivers who are contacted about medical transport needs during the week. Typically, drivers are given at least a weeks’ notice. Drivers typically use the MHCO handicap accessible van or 15 -passenger bus. This program is restarting in April.
Bluffton Uptown shopping driver:
(Licensed driver to take MMH residents shopping uptown Tuesday at 9 a.m.)
Volunteers take residents shopping using the MMH 15-passanger bus. Trip usually takes a couple hours and makes 3-4 stops depending on interest of elders). This program is restarting in April.
Outside work:
Spring Cleaning - help pick up branches, yardwork
Fill bird feeders weekly
Power wash chairs and other items as needed
At Willow Ridge

“Our Daily Bread Mobile Meals” Driver: We are looking for back up volunteer drivers willing to deliver meals in the Pandora area at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Wednesday, or Fridays.
At Maple Crest
Virtual Bible Study Leader: 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month via Zoom at 3 p.m.: May and June
Outside work:
