Signup underway for BFR summer kids' camp
Outer space, racing, trip around the world, shark week and STEM week are all part of Bluffton Family Recreation’s summer camp open to youths ages 5 to 12.
And a pre-camp, held on Fridays is available for youth 3 to 6, from 9 to 10:30 a.m.
Registration for summer is now underway. Youth may participate the entire summer or may pick and choose weeks, depending upon the number of campers signed up each week.
The camp begins Tuesday, June 1, and continues weekdays through Aug. 27, according to Daniel Tinch, BFR executive director. No camp takes place on July 4th.
As in previous summers, each week is a new theme.
Here are the details:
• Open to 5- to 12-year-olds
• Held Mondays through Fridays – pre camp is 7:30-9:30 a.m.
• Post camp is 3:30-5:30 p.m.
• Bring snacks, lunch and drinks
• $80 per week for members; $160 per week for non-members
• Spots are available per week and are limited
• Registration now underway, first-come, first-served basis
• Bluffton Hospital provides lunches for all camps on
Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays

June 7-11 – Around the world
June 14-18 – Space week
June 21-25 – Among us week
June 28-July 2 – Bluffton week
July 5-9 – Wacky water
July 12-16 – Wilderness
July 19-23 – Land before time
July 26-30 – Olympics
Aug. 2-6 – Good eats
Aug. 9-13 – Shark week
Aug. 16-20 – STEM week
Aug. 23-27 – Fortnight week
Pre-school camp (ages 3-6)
These campus are Fridays from 9 to 10:30 a.m.

June 25 – It’s buggy out there!
July 2 – Garden fairies
July 9 – Reduce, reuse and recycle
July 16 – Music and rhythm
July 23 – Wacky water day
July 30 – Color me messy
Aug. 6 – Super hero
Aug. 13 – Wild wilderness
Aug. 20 – Camp rewind
Pre-school camps costs are $10 per week for members; $20 for program participants. The weeks of June 11 and June 18 are $12 and $24.
