Three Bluffton history programs take place in the next two weeks presented by Fred Steiner of BlufftonForever.com Each is free and open to the public.
Monday, Aug. 15 at Bluffton Public Library
Reservations are being accepted for a repeat presentation of Bluffton Then and Now, given at 6 p.m., Monday, Aug. 15, at the Bluffton Public Library, lower level.
The library program uses over 90 Bluffton photos going back over 140 years. It was first presented in July and there was a demand for a second program.
The presentation includes many early Bluffton scenes that are compared with the same scene today.
The library asks that persons register in advance by calling the library at 419-358-5016 or stopping in the library, at 145 S. Main St., Bluffton.
Tuesday, Aug. 16 at First Mennonite
The following evening, at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Aug. 16, Steiner will present a photo lecture on the 1933 John Dillinger Bluffton bank robbery. That program, held in First Mennonite Church fellowship hall, is hosted by the Lincoln Highway Association Western Ohio Chapter. The church is located at 101 S. Jackson St., Bluffton
Tuesday, Aug. 23 in Jenera
On Tuesday, Aug. 23, Steiner will present the same Dillinger program to the members of the Eagle Creek Historical Organization (ECHO). That program takes place at 7 p.m. in the Jenera Community Park Building, 18800 State Route 698, Jenera.
