Pirates home track tri-meet recap

The Bluffton High School boys track and field team won a three-team meet at the Bluffton University facility on Tuesday, March 28. Bath and Ben Logan also competed in the event.
Several Pirates posted first-place finishes at the meet (complete Bluffton results HERE.):
Senior Sam Derstine crossed the line first in the boys 800 meters (2:02.4). Classmate Eden Antrim came home first in the 1600 (4:51.2).
Sophomore Carson Kruse captured the 300 hurdles in 43.6. Senior Wyatt Lovell soared to first in the high jump at 5-10.
Junior Hayden Dearth won the long jump at 18-3. Senior Zander Mays took first in the discus at 128-4.
Pirate junior Ella Armstrong crossed the tape first in the girls 800 meters (2:39.3). Freshman Aubrey Burkholder took first in the 300 hurdles in 53.6. Brianna Tabler cleared 9-6 in the pole vault to finish first.
The Pirates are slated to run at Pandora-Gilboa in a quadrangular meet with Arlington and McComb Tuesday, April 4. They then compete in the 13-team Ehresman Invitational at Bath April 6.
