PTO bakery Bingo offers lots of family fun on Saturday evening

Save your Saturday night, Jan. 29, for some sugar and sweets at Bluffton Elementary School. The PTO is hosting Bakery Bingo. This event is open to the public; anyone can come from 6-8 p.m. and satisfy their cravings.
For a chance to win cakes, cookies and candies, just purchase a pack of Bingo cards at the door and play! One pack costs $1 each and you may buy as many as you wish. Bingo will continue until the goodies are all gone.
Also available for purchase are raffle tickets (1 for $1 or 6 for $5). After you purchase your tickets, you may place them in the raffle basket of your choice. Choose wisely though, there will be at least 20 different prizes donated from Bluffton businesses that you can win.
If that's not enough, there is a 50/50 drawing. With an expected 250 or more people coming, the pot could be pretty rewarding-last year's winner took home $175!
If you are not one of the lucky winners, there will still be plenty to fill you up, including Luke's pizza for $2 a slice. The concession stand will be full of donations from the elementary teachers that include hot dogs, soda, water, candy, popcorn and pretzels for sale.
Not hungry for dinner and dessert? Come to play just the same.
"Everyone from kids 8 to 80 can participate," said Mandy Klinger, PTO officer.
Along with Klinger, Rebecca Oaks, Carrie Donaldson, Sarah Bricker, Kendy Young, Chassity Gallant, Jill Lemley, Amy Mikesell, Chanda Smith, and Amber Huffman organized this event.
"We do have officers, but everyone does their share," said Klinger.
The PTO generally raises close to $2,000 from this event, making it their biggest fundraiser of the year. Last year the PTO focused on painting the elementary gym with this money raised.
"This year our goal is to replenish the advanced readers' books," Klinger said.
