Lenten service at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church
Wednesday evening Lenten services at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 301 North Main Street, Jenera, will begin with an Ash Wednesday service on February 14 at 7:00 p.m. and continue for five weeks.
The theme for the six services is “God on Trial.” The church announcement notes, "It takes us back to the moments when God was literally on trial before men in the person of Christ Jesus."
Pastor Matthew Nowak will base the message on Job 40:1,2; 42:1-6, under the theme “Accusations.”
The students of Trinity School in grades 3-8 will sing "Have Mercy in Your Goodness, Lord." Hymns for the service are: Jesus, I will Ponder Now, Jesus, Sinners Does Receive, Savior, When in Dust to You and the readings are Joel 2:12-19, Revelation 3:1-3 and Luke 12: 13-21.
Beginning at 5:30 p.m., the students of Grades 6 & 7 and their parents will serve a free supper.
