Robert "Bob" C. Kiene was a self-employed mechanic
Robert "Bob" C. Kiene, 71, passed away February 28, 2024 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center, Lima. Bob was born December 20, 1952 in Lima to Cornelius and Rita Marie (Diemer) Kiene who preceded him in death. On November 20, 1976 he married Jane (Kahle) Kiene who preceded him in death on June 6, 2005.
Bob was a graduate of Elida High School and was a self-employed mechanic for 34 years. He was a hard worker and farmed on the side. Bob enjoyed traveling to see his son while he served in the Marines. He especially loved his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their sporting events and musical functions. Bob was a lifetime member of the Cairo Sportsmen’s Club and the NRA.
He is survived by his son, Brian Kiene of Harrod; three grandchildren, Laney and Emma Kiene, and Jase Kiene; fiancé, Lois Bratz of Columbus Grove; and six siblings, Deloris Klapperich of Auburn, WA, Patricia Sanders of Ingalls, IN, Donna (David) Burkhart of Lima, Cathy (Michael) Lammers of Spencerville, Sue Kiene of Oak Harbor, and Bernard (Jeanne) Kiene of Columbus Grove.
In addition to his parents and his wife, Bob was preceded in death by his son, Brent Kiene.
Bob’s services will begin at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at at Chiles-Laman Funeral and Cremation Services of Bluffton with Pastor David Burkhart officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 5, 2024 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or his grandchildren.
