Masterworks concert to feature Duruflé’s Requiem

Bluffton University’s Masterworks performance of French composer Maurice Duruflé’s “Requiem” will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, April 14 in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public with first-come, first-served seating.

The concert will be conducted by Dr. Bo Young Kang, director of choral activities, and will feature a chorus comprised of Camerata Singers, University Chorale and Bluffton University Choral Society and orchestra. The choruses, which include Bluffton University students and Bluffton-area community members, held weekly rehearsals to prepare for this event.

The performance is funded by the Krehbiel-Raid-Pankratz Music Endowment. The endowment was established in 1985 by Dr. Howard Raid along with family and friends of the Krehbiel, Raid and Pankratz families.

The purpose of the endowment is to provide scholarships to Bluffton students studying music and to underwrite the cost of a classical music concert held during the spring term featuring Bluffton students and community members. Contributions to the Krehbiel-Raid-Pankratz Music Endowment can be sent to Bluffton University, 1 University Drive, Bluffton, OH 45817.
