Thayer-Dixie Hwy injury accident on July 16
The Lima News reported that a Bluffton woman was injured in a two-vehicle collision at Thayer Rd and N. Dixie Highway on July 16.
According the report, Laverne Newland, 73, of Bluffton was transported to Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center with minor injuries.
A vehicle driven by Brian Owen, 40, of Leon, West Virginia, failed to stop at the intersection and struck Newland's vehicle. She had to be extracted using a mechanical device.
