New vaccine coverage with Medicare Part D
Allen County Public Health (ACPH) has announced that individuals with Medicare Part D coverage can receive vaccinations from ACPH with no out-of-pocket expenses.
Vaccines that are covered with no out-of-pocket costs include all adult vaccines that are recommended by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices including RSV, Shingles, Tdap and vaccines recommended for international travel. Previously ACPH individuals getting vaccinated with Medicare Part D coverage were required to pay for vaccinations and seek reimbursement or individuals were referred to pharmacies to obtain these vaccinations. ACPH vaccination clinics are offered on Monday, Wednesday and Thursdays from 8:00 to 11:30 am and 1:30 to 3:30 pm by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by calling Allen County Public Health at 419-228-4457 or by scheduling an appointment at www.allencountypublichealth.org.
