Fred Arnold Charitable Golf Scramble supports local and regional nonprofits
The Bluffton American Legion Post 382 held a donation ceremony on Monday, August 5 for donations funded by the 17th Annual Fred Arnold Charitable Golf Scramble, an event held in June.
Event chairman Kurt Emans thanked event sponsors and golfers for their generous donations which will support the organizations below. Over 10+ years, Post 382's golf outing has generated more than $60,000 for local nonprofit organizations.
In 2024 the Bluffton American Legion gave a total of $6,000 to these nine organizations:
- American Legion Operation Comfort Warrior, represented by Gary Cox Jr., Ohio 2nd Vice Commander
- Bluffton Boy Scout Troop 256, represented by Scoutmaster Brad Taylor
- Bluffton Diamond Sports, represented by Nathan Davis
- Bluffton Family YMCA, represented by Director Amy Byers
- Bluffton Community Assistance Corp., represented by Pat Rodabaugh
- Bluffton Scrap Artist Club (which quilts throws for veterans) represented by Pat Rodabaugh
- Children’s Developmental Center of Lima, represented by Director Elisha Reineke
- Flag City Honor Flight of Findlay, represented by Bob Weinberg
- Veterans Food Pantry of Northwest Ohio Inc., represented by Director Betsy Potts
