Pirate boys soccer blanked by Trojans

The Bluffton boys soccer team lost 4-0 to Botkins on Thursday, September 22.

The Pirates fall to 0-2 after a 5-0 road loss to Shawnee last week in their opener.

John Raterman scored three goals for the Trojans to pace the winning offense. Trent Paul netted the other Botkins goal, and he also dished out one assist. Memphis Meyer dealt one Trojan helper.

The Pirate home opener is Thursday, August 29 vs. league foe Spencerville (0-1) at 7 p.m. Bluffton plays Ada in a JV match at 5 p.m. earlier that evening.

The match at Tree of Life Christian (1-0) school originally set for August 17 has been rescheduled for Saturday, Aug. 31 at 2 p.m. in Columbus.
