THIRD THURSDAY TEA

May 19
3:30 - 5:00 p.m.

Herbal Health for Women of All Ages

Explore the traditional uses of herbs with herbalist and health Educator, Maureen Burns-Hooker. She will travel through time looking at the traditional, folkloric uses of herbs and familiarize us with the current research on herbs for women's health.

The program will focus on the uses of herbs in supportive roles for healthy bodies, hearts and minds, and well as specific herbs and their medicinal roles.

She will share easy to use recipes for making great tasting women's teas and tips on how to include these wonderful female nourishing herbs to food. There will be information on herbs for the childbearing years throughout the wise women years.

Herbalism and women go hand in hand; most of the traditional healers had been women, handing down herbal medicine from mother to daughter for centuries. It was most often the women who used herbs as food and herbs as medicine to help take care of their families and communities.

In an effort to provide an outstanding program for our guests, our weekly tea celebration will now be held on the Third Thursday of the month from 3:30 to 5 p.m. This allows us the opportunity to present speakers on a variety of topics that are sure to enrich your life.

Third Thursday Tea at the Inn will feature a specific tea and dessert, but will include a variety and teas and pastries.

The speaker and tea celebration is $9.95 plus tax/gratuities per person. Reservations are requested. Call 419.772.2500 to make your reservation.
