Fortman Insurance Services holds community open house Friday
Bluffton's newest Main Street business Fortman Insurance Services, Inc., of Ottawa, will hold an open house for the community from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 26, according to Catherine Fortman.
The Ottawa-based insurance company opened a branch office at 115 N. Main St., Bluffton, in the former Book Reviews store front on July 1.
Fortman told The Icon that due to the expanding number of clients outside Putnam County, the need to expand to a second location made sense. Instead of expanding in Ottawa, the company chose to open a branch in downtown Bluffton.
A ribbon cutting by the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce is planned for the business in September.
