LIMA__The Bluffton High School boys and girls swim teams competed well at the Div. II Northwest district sectional meet in the Lima YMCA on February 10.

The Bluffton Exempted Village Schools Board of Education will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Monday, February 12 in the Media Center of Bluffton Elementary School. Excerpts from the meeting packet follow.

Bluffton University is a host site for researchers from the University of Wyoming. For the safety of the research team and our campus community, Bluffton University will be closed to the public on April 8, 2024. Research participants from the University of Wyoming will be permitted on campus per the agreed upon schedule with university officials.

No public viewing spaces for the Total Solar Eclipse will be available. All parking lots will be closed to visitors. No camping, parking RVs or utilizing outdoor university facilities will be permitted. No public restrooms will be available on Bluffton’s campus.

The Pandora-Gilboa High School boys basketball team stretched their win streak to five games on February 10 when they hosted and easily defeated the Upper Scioto Valley Rams, 72-37, in non-league action.

MT. BLANCHARD__The visiting Bluffton High School boys basketball team outscored non-conference rival Riverdale in all four quarters to post a 62-50 road win Saturday, February 10.

The Pirate boys snapped a three-game losing skid with the victory.

The Pirates led 14-12 after the first period, and held onto a 30-26 edge at halftime. 

Bluffton outscored the Falcons 21-18 in a high-scoring third stanza.

The Pirates captured the fourth quarter 11-6 to win by a dozen. Southpaw Blake Sommers scored eight of his 19 points in the final period to lead Bluffton to victory.

Bluffton improved to 15-4 with the win. Meanwhile, Riverdale dropped to 5-13 after the defeat.
