Kerry Bush parked a chair at the doorway to the Shannon Theatre at 3:45 p.m. She arrived first in line for the 12:01 a.m. showing of "The Hunger Games."

"I've read through the entire series. It's not as developed as Harry Potter, but it probably would be if there were more books in the series," said Bush, an obviously avid Hunger Games fan.

Neal and Janie Blough

Note: Neal and Janie Blough are Bluffton University alumni. Neal's mother, Celia Blough, lives in Bluffton.

At the beginning of the 20th century, there were almost no Mennonites left in France. Between the annexation of Alsace-Lorraine (historically home to many Mennonites) into Germany, and immigration to North America, the population had dwindled significantly.

Thomas E. Niswander, 71, of Bluffton died suddenly Wednesday, March 21, 2012. He was born in Bluffton on Nov. 13, 1940, to the late Hugh and Marie Reichenbach Niswander. On Oct. 22, 1961, he married Sheila M. Gibbs and she survives.

Mr. Niswander was a 1958 graduate of Cory-Rawson High School. He was an active member of New Hope United Methodist Church, Rawson, serving as a trustee and a member of the Findlay Moose 698.

He was a lifelong farmer and retired truck driver.

Join Bluffton Public Library's book discussion group as they explore the struggles of Kimberly Chang in Girl in Translation. The discussion group's next title, by Jean Kwok, is a tale of relationships and coming of age.
