In opening her massage studio, Oates of Ada, says there are several benefits of a massage. These include aid in relaxation, circulation, sleeplessness, relaxation of tired muscles and even a help to cure migraine headaches.

Remember the 1991 BHS football season? How could you forget. An early season over-time win against Paulding, the hook-and-ladder play, the semi-truck that stated "Fear Us," 82 second to go, no timeouts, Minster with the ball and the lead on the Pirate 27...yet BHS won in OT 24-17.

It was the Dream Team. The team returns to Harmon Field Friday night on the team's 20th anniversary season.

The Bluffton Athletic Department will honoring the 1991 state runner up football team at half time of Friday's game against Crestview, according to Alex Hanna, BHS athletic director.

A marriage seminar, "Safe Haven Marriage: Building a Relationship You Want To Come Home To," will take place Friday, Oct. 7 (7-9 p.m.) and Saturday, Oct. 8 (8 a.m.-4 p.m.) at First Mennonite Church.

The cost is $50 per couple, which covers meals and refreshments.

Making a quilt requires many pieces and considerable creativity, time and patience.

The same ingredients are needed for peacemaking, says the director of Bluffton University's Lion and Lamb Peace Arts Center, which is marking its 25th anniversary this year.

Speaking to more than 60 businesswomen Sept. 1 at the Lima/Allen County Chamber of Commerce, Louise Matthews listed eight actions that she said can serve as blocks in a person's "peacemaking quilt":

Pieman was back at it again yesterday....he was in the kitchen at least half of the day - first making a pie, then meatloaf, bread and rolls. Lest you think we wish to pack on the pounds, think again. This is all HIS stuff and it has to last him a week.

The Apollo Career Center Floral Design shop is hosting a grand opening to celebrate its recent renovations, Tuesday, Sept. 20, 8-10:30 a.m. and 11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. A ribbon cutting will be held at 10 a.m. along with door prizes for the first 50 visitors, and a drawing for a Fall Wreath.

Despite the 20-0 lead going into the 2nd quarter, Delphos Jefferson found a way to make the game interesting. However, the Pirates were able to close the door and win their 3rd consecutive game to start the season, 37-28.
