Mothers of Pre-Schoolers, (MOPS), will hold a mom-to-mom sale for mothers and expecting mothers. The sale is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Saturday, March 19, at Ebenezer Mennonite Church, 8905 Columbus Grove Road.The event is a huge garage sale sponsored by the Ebenezer Mennonite MOPS. Admission is $2 and proceeds benefit the Bluffton Food Pantry. MOPS are also accepting non-perisable food items during the event.

The Swiss Community Historical Society of Bluffton and Pandora invites the public to "50 Years of Preserving Local History" by Amos Schwartz, a historic preservationist from Berne, Ind. The presentation is Sunday, March 13, at 2 p.m. in the Patio Room (lower level) of Maple Crest Senior Living Village on Augsburger Road.

Schwartz is the recipient of the Indiana Landmark Association 2008 Historic Preservationist of the Year award. He has 50 years of experience in restoring historical dwellings and barns, and has restored seven bridges in Ohio.

Boy Scout Troop 256 from Bluffton is participating in the national BSA event - Scouting for Food. Scouts delivered yellow plastic grocery bags to all houses in Bluffton and Beaverdam this past weekend.
Scouts will pick up the food on Saturday, March 12, starting at noon. All non-perishable food collected will be delivered to the Bluffton Food Pantry.

March came in with 1.8 additional inches of snow for the year. Add January's 18.3 inches and February's 16 inches, March's total gives us 36.1 inches of snowfall for 2011.

Stan Schneck, Pandora village administrator, updated Pandora's council on possible stimulus funds for a possible new water tower in the village industrial park.

The announcement took place during the Feb. 22 council meeting. Schneck said that he was contacted by Ken Maag of Poggemeyer Design Group regarding stimulus funds.

If the application for such project would be granted, it would pay 50 percent of the total project. The engineering for the water tower has been completed.
