Presbyterian Church Christmas Eve service includes musical quintet
Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 112 N. Main St., will offer a Christmas Eve candlelight and communion service on Monday, Dec. 24, at 6:30 p.m. with Christmas carols performed by a quintet of musicians from the church.
Musicians are Linda Sycks, oboe; Jeremy Szabo, English horn; Rev. Karol Farris, clarinet; Dave Sycks, trumpet; and Marilyn Edwards, French horn. Following this prelude music, the worship service will begin at 7 p.m, and will serve as a culmination of this year’s Advent series, Silent Night, Calm and Bright.
Music will be provided by organist Jayne McGarrity and the church choir under the direction of Linda Sycks. Rev. Karol Farris, pastor, will deliver a Christmas message.
The service will include a celebration of communion and will conclude with the traditional “Silent Night, Holy Night” carol sung by candlelight.
