University runner gains top conference honors
For the second time in three weeks, Bluffton University senior Alexis Cash (Gaines, MI/Lake Fenton) has been named the Heartland Conference Runner of the Week. Cash also took home Runner of the Week after a 10th place finish at the OWU invitational on September 14.
Cash had an impressive finish, placing 36th out of 125 Division III runners with a time of 24:42 on Saturday at the All-Ohio Championships.
The Bluffton cross country team will travel to Wilmington College for the Jenna Strong Fall Classic on Friday, Oct. 11. The women's race is slated for 4:30 p.m. and the men will compete at 5:15 p.m.
