Scoles named NWC Player of Year, Mehaffie Coach of the Year

Bluffton High School senior Sami Scoles of league champion Bluffton girls soccer team was voted Northwest Conference Player of the Year in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.
Bluffton mentor Jamie Mehaffie was named NWC Coach of the Year after leading the team to a 6-0 league mark and 14-2 overall record.
Senior keeper Julia Mehaffie, senior scorer Allison Diller and senior Riley Eachus of Bluffton also joined Scoles on the all-league first team.
Pirate junior Makayla Schweingruber and senior Olivia Matthews were voted second team All-NWC.
Seniors Kendal Giesege and Karson Hauenstein were named honorable mention all-league, along with junior Jasmine Hasting.
Bluffton won the NWC crown at 6-0, followed by Columbus Grove (5-1), Delphos Jefferson (4-2), Allen East (2-3), Crestview (1-4-1), Spencerville (1-4-1) and Ada (0-6).
Allen East sophomore scoring ace Rilynn Jones was NWC Player of the Year runner-up.
