BLUFFTON __ The Bluffton High School girls softball team defeated visiting Emmanuel Christian handily 13-5 Wednesday, April 16.

The Pirate girls improved to 2-4 overall with the win. The hosts overcame an early 3-0 deficit to win going away. 

Bluffton tallied one run in the third, then plated four in the fourth to take the lead for good, 5-3.

Three more Pirates crossed home in the fifth to make it 8-3. EC tacked on two runs in the top of the sixth.

BLUFFTON __ The Bluffton High School baseball team rallied from a 10-0 deficit to beat visiting McComb 12-11 in a non-league thriller on a cold Tuesday, April 15.

The Pirates improved to 4-4 with the improbable victory, while the Panthers fell to 1-6 after the tough loss.

McComb pushed nine runs across the plate in the top of the third inning to build a seemingly commanding 10-0 lead.

BLUFFTON __ The Bluffton High School girls softball team fell behind big early and lost 12-5 to non-conference foe McComb on Tuesday, April 15.

The Pirate girls fell to 1-4 overall with the loss. McComb improved to 2-4 after the win.

The Panthers built a 9-0 lead heading to the sixth inning and held on for the win.

Macy Schaadt stroked a two-run single for the Pirates. Tala Gipson had an RBI hit. Bluffton’s Peyton Worcester singled and scored a run.

WAUSEON – The visiting Bluffton High School boys tennis team dominated Wauseon 5-0 on Monday evening, April 14.

The Pirate record improved to 4-1 with the decisive win as they easily captured all 10 sets. In games, the Pirates won 60-4 with three perfect sweeps.

Bluffton senior Branson Hilty rolled to a double-bagel win at first singles by a 6-0, 6-0 score.

Junior Nick Lovett also cruised to victory at second singles by a 6-2, 6-1 tally.

GENOA – The visiting Bluffton High School baseball team defeated Genoa Area 4-3 in a non-league battle Saturday, April 12.

The Pirates improved to 3-4 with the victory, while Genoa Area fell to 0-2 after the loss.

The Comets out-hit the Pirates 10-6, but made two errors compared to one miscue by Bluffton.

FINDLAY __ The Bluffton High School girls softball team lost 16-3 at non-conference power Liberty-Benton on Saturday, April 12.

The Pirate girls fell to 1-3 overall with the loss. Liberty-Benton improved to 8-1 with the victory.
