Williams shared his experience of coming together with a diverse group of individuals within higher education to author chapters in the book “Diversity Matters: Race, Ethnicity and the Future of Christian Higher Education.”

Dr. Sanjay Khare, professor of physics at the University of Toledo, presented the Forum, “Building a Sustainable Energy Future," on Nov. 7 in Bluffton University’s Yoder Recital Hall. Khare discussed how human civilization will need to adapt to the decline of natural resources such as fossil fuels and uranium in order to have a sustainable energy future. 

Erica Littlewolf, coordinator of the Indigenous Visioning Center for Mennonite Central Committee (Central States) will bring two programs to Bluffton University on Nov. 28.

Littlewolf will present, “Doctrine of Discovery: A Living History,” during Forum at 11 a.m. in Yoder Recital Hall. During the presentation, Littlewolf, who is Northern Cheyenne, will explain how the 15th century Christian doctrine continues to shape United States policies toward Native Americans.

Bluffton University English Festival Nov. 21

Andrew Hudgins and Erin McGraw, emeritus professors of English from The Ohio State University, will present, "Being Smarter Than You Are: A Conversation with Two Writers About Writing," at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 21, in Yoder Recital Hall.
 
The Forum is part of Bluffton’s 34th annual English Festival where high school students are invited to spend the day at Bluffton to interact with speakers and Bluffton English faculty.

After a year in Defiance, the 'Hammer' is back in its rightful home after a 33-26 Bluffton victory on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Beavers improved to 4-6 overall and 4-4 in the Heartland Conference as Defiance slipped to 2-8 and 2-6 in the HCAC. Bluffton has now won seven of its last eight against the Yellow Jackets for a 46-45-2 advantage in the all-time series.
