Collaborative MBA students on university campus

Ten students, traveling from as far away as Cambodia, came together on the campus of Bluffton University Aug. 6-11 for the fourth Collaborative MBA residency. While the students began as strangers from vastly different backgrounds, they left with newfound ideas on leadership and lasting bonds.
 
“The most exciting part has been connecting with others who have had a lot of different experiences to discuss the things that we all care about from our own unique perspectives,” said Annalisa Brenneman, an exchange coordinator for Mennonite Central Committee in Cambodia.
 

On integrity, truth and virtue to Bluffton’s class of 2021

Nathan Whitaker, a six-time “New York Times” bestselling author, will be the featured speaker at 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 29, in the Sommer Center for Health and Fitness Education as Bluffton University welcomes the class of 2021 during its annual Opening Convocation. 

Whitaker has co-written several books with leading sports figures including “Quiet Strength: The Principles, Practices, and Priorities of a Winning Life,” the memoir of Super-Bowl-winning NFL coach Tony Dungy. “Quiet Strength” also served as this year’s summer reading for first-year Bluffton students. 

Investment in environmental science education for region

A new 1,800 square foot Moyer Nature Center has been funded and is scheduled for completion later this fall within the Bluffton University Nature Preserve, Bluffton’s president, Dr. James M. Harder, announced today.
 

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Junior defensive end Isaac Zickafoose (Middlebury, Ind./Northridge) has been named a pre-season 1st Team All-American by HERO Sports for 2017. The standout lineman was one of three 1st Team honorees from the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University Volleyball Team heads into the 2017 season having won the Heartland Conference tournament the past four seasons. The Beavers capped off a 24-9 campaign with their first-ever NCAA Tournament victory when they downed Wisconsin-Oshkosh in five sets last season! Bluffton will work to keep its NCAA tournament string alive by qualifying for a fifth straight time and ninth in program history.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Bluffton University Cross Country teams have lofty goals for the 2017 campaign. The high expectations are due to the exciting conclusion of the 2016 season and the quality of the returning runners from last year. The men's team finished fourth at the HCAC meet and experienced the graduation of just one of the top five (scoring) athletes.
