It’s that time of year again. On Jan. 16, during halftime of the men’s basketball game against Hanover College, Bluffton University will reveal which students are in the J. Denny and Jenny Beaver suits.  The game will take place at 3 p.m. in the Sommer Center.

The Peace, Pies and Prophets tour is coming to Bluffton University at 7 p.m. on Jan. 18 in Yoder Recital Hall. Since March 2012, Ted & Company has been collaborating with Christian Peacemaker Teams and local peacemakers to raise funds and awareness for peace. The evening includes the show, “I’d Like to Buy an Enemy,” a satire that explores peace, justice and the American way.

Bluffton University’s Institute for Learning in Retirement (ILR), an educational program for retirees, is offering several courses beginning Jan. 18.

Rehearsals for Bluffton University’s Masterworks performance of Vivaldi’s “Dixit Dominus” will be held from 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, beginning Jan. 12, in the Gilliom Room of Mosiman Hall on campus.

When the Little Rock Touchdown Club and Wright, Lindsey & Jennings LLP handed out the awards for the 3rd annual Cliff Harris Award, Bluffton defensive end Ryan Aelker (Holgate) was announced as one of two athletes to share the top spot in Division III.

Along with Aelker and Tom Lally from Mount Union, Adam Sauder took home top honors for NAIA while Marqui Christian (Division II) was named the overall winner of the Cliff Harris Award.

BLUFFTON, Ohio - Bluffton senior Thayne Recker (Arlington) has been named the Heartland Conference Player of the Week for the second time this season. Recker was a three-time HCAC Player of the Week in 2014-15 en route to being named First Team All-Heartland Conference last season.
