Fudge and fruitcakes from Gethsemani Farms are now available at the Bluffton Senior Citizens Center. Due to covid-19, the center is unable to make peanut brittle this year, so the Center is partnering with the abbey in Kentucky that creates these products. For more details

Bluffton public works department asks leaf rakers for some patience.
The village 30-plus-year-old machine is showing its age and continues to suffer from breakdowns.
"The public works department continues to make repairs when needed but this has hindered our progress," Bryan Lloyd, assistant village administrator, told The Icon this morning.
"We are hopeful the machine is back in service this morning. Once back in operation the PWD main focus will be leaf pick up, removing leaves town wide.

The memorial service for Rachel Schutz scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 14, at Union Chapel Missionary Church has been postponed until a later date which will be announced when scheduled.

Barbara Jean Slapin, 87, died Nov. 9, 2020, at Blanchard Valley Hospital in Findlay. Barbara was born July 12, 1933, in Bluffton to the late Arthur and Cleota "Cody" (Lanning) Lewis. She was married to Billy Slapin who preceded her in death.
Barbara graduated from Bluffton High School. She retired from Jana's Coatcheckers in New York City.
Survivors include two children, Jana Slapin of Bluffton, Deron (Roberlyna) Slapin of Paterson, New Jersey; two grandchildren, Blaze and Dexel Slapin; sister, Mary Coletta of Bluffton and a brother, Ray Lewis of Chicago, Illinois.

Bluffton has a lot of great football to look forward in the community years. Here are the accomplishments made by both Bluffton Bucs midget football teams this year, starting with the Varsity.
They have been in the Super Bowl 3 of the last 4 years and have won as 4th graders and as 6th graders. They have talent across the board and many have started all 4 years of their Bucs career.
