There will be a hearing by the Village of Bluffton Council, at 8:30 p.m., May 10, 2010, Monday, in the Community Room, 154 N. Main Street, Bluffton, OH 45817, on the third floor. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a rezoning from Commercial I to Residential III for the property located at 114 E. College Avenue. This request is to accommodate the creation of a multiple housing unit.
This plate is a rarity in northwestern Ohio, where there are more BGSU and OSU plates. This one is on a van driven by Lindsay Steiner, a doctorate student at Kent.

Hours for the sale are 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday, April 13; 8:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, April 14 and 15; and 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 16.
Hardcover books will be $1 and paperbacks, 50 cents; some items will be priced as marked. New items will be added to the sale each day, and proceeds will be used to purchase materials for library collections.
A course covering infant and child CPR techniques will take place at Bluffton Public Library on Thursday, April 15, from 5:30-8:30 p.m.
Representatives of the Allen County Chapter of the American Cross will be teaching the course. The cost is $35 per participant and the course is open to people ages 10 years old and above.

Andrew Hudgins, Humanities Distinguished Professor in English at Ohio State University, will present "Inside 'Out, Out--': A Close Look Inside Frost's Poem," at 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 13, in Founders Hall at Bluffton University. The event is free and open to the public.
Seven juniors in the Bluffton University music department will present a recital at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 11, in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
The junior recital is designed to help students prepare for their senior recitals. A repertoire is chosen by a faculty member in consultation with each student.

Four Bluffton University students are scheduled to compete in the university's annual C. Henry Smith Peace Oratorical Contest, at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, in Yoder Recital Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
Participating students give a speech of no more than 10 minutes that applies the Christian peace position to an issue of contemporary concern.
