TLU Rescue will hold a spaghetti fundraiser later this month, according to Jon Lieb, director, and Lynn Bibler, CEO.
The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Sunday, May 20, in front of Bluffton High School. Tickets are $8 for adults and for children 12 and under $5. Meal includes tossed salad, spaghetti with meat sauce, breadsticks, dessert and beverage.
A Lotta Love Pet Rescue, a tax-exempt animal welfare organization, will hold its annual "Mutt Strutt and Canine Carnival" fund raising dog walk on Saturday, May 19, in the Farout Park Amphitheater in Lima, according to David Baumgartner of Bluffton.
Darcey Schneider of Rhythm in Motion Dance Centre, Main Street, Ada, reminds Icon viewers to stop in the Centre on Saturday, May 5, anytime from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. to purchase tickets for the Centre's spring recital and to obtain information on fall classes.
Several dancers from the Bluffton schools will perform in the recital.
Schneider said that the spring show is at 3 p.m., Saturday, June 2, at Lima Senior High School. All seats are reserved. Pre-sale tickets are $9 on May 5. After the 5th tickets are $11 each.
Six Bluffton Middle School students were named students of the month for March.
6th Grade
Sydney Hoff, daughter of Scott and Brigette Hoff, is a member of the BMS choir, band and 6th grade quiz bowl team. She is active in many sports including basketball, softball, tennis and soccer and looks forward to running next year. Sydney attends St. John's Mennonite Church in Pandora and is also in 4-H.
Stratton Greenhouses invite Icon viewers to its spring open house Friday through Sunday, May 4-5-6. The popular greenhouse at 9915 Lincoln Highway is open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sundays in May.
During the open house a free tomato plant comes with every purchase. Free garden gloves come with every purchase $150 purchase. Strattons has its typical outstanding selection of specialty plants including many hanging baskets in all sizes.
