Linda Jo Tabler, 72, died at 12:35 a.m., Sunday Jan. 18, 2015, at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay, Ohio. She was born on Dec. 17, 1942, in Lima, Ohio, to Robert L. "Buck" and Lillian M. (Rasor) Lamb. They both preceded her in death.
On Nov. 9, 1963, she married Jerry E. Tabler and he survives in Bluffton, Ohio.
Diem Lafortune, a Toronto musician, will perform in concert at 7 p.m., Monday, Jan. 19, at First Mennonite Church, in a Bluffton Town Hall Concert Series, according to Wendy Chappell-Dick.
LaFortune is a 2013 Canadian Aboriginal Songwriter of the Year nominee by the Canadian Folk Music Awards.
According to Chappell-Dick, “Her album Beauty and Hard Times is a varied collection including Acadian fiddle tunes, Celtic, prairie Cree drums, and the accordion and strings-fuelled tunes of the Jews and Romany in Eastern Europe.”

BLUFFTON, Ohio - The Transylvania Pioneers were just too much for the Bluffton Beavers to handle, as they earned an 87-72 victory on Saturday, Jan. 17. The 19th-ranked Pioneers kept their undefeated HCAC mark intact, improving to 8-0 (13-1 overall) behind a 27-point effort from Katelyn Smith. The Beavers fell to 10-5 and 5-3 in the HCAC.
FINDLAY, Ohio - At the Northwest Ohio Invitational hosted by the University of Findlay on Friday, Jan. 16, the Bluffton University men’s and women’s track and field team had a number of quality performances.
It was 52 basketball seasons ago. This was the Bluffton High School varsity boys' basketball team. Joe Harris was the coach and Beaverdam had its own high school. The year was 1962-63. Games were in the "old" BHS gym.

Kasey Kruse, 18, of Columbus Grove donated ten inches of her hair to Locks of Love for the sixth time recently. She has been able to give this gift approximately every 1 1/2 to 2 years. Kasey is the daughter of Ken and Connie Kruse, of Town and Country Flowers, Bluffton.
Kasey is a senior at Columbus Grove High School. She had her hair cut by her Aunt Linda Kruse of Linda's Styling and Tanning Salon, Columbus Grove.
