DELAWARE, Ohio - While the HCAC conference cross country championship witnessed the women’s team having a banner day, the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Championship saw the men’s squad claim the most applause.
Dr. Gerald Mast, professor of communication, will present the colloquium, "The Regulation of Internet Communication in Conservative Mennonite Conferences and Fellowships," at 4 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 17 in Stutzman Lecture Hall.
During the presentation, Mast will elaborate on his studies with conservative Mennonite communities and how they have begun to live a life where technology plays a roll.
The following impacts to traffic related to the reconstruction and widening of Interstate 75 through Findlay and Hancock County are occurring or scheduled to occur in the coming weeks:
Dates to Note: Nov. 14-15 – Interstate 75 southbound far right lane to close during traffic switch, no access to Findlay exits available (details below) Nov. 20, 21 and 22 – Ramp from U.S. 68/state Route 15 to Interstate 75 southbound will close during nighttime hours for setting of bridge beams for the new flyover ramp (details below).
Final plans are underway for this year’s Blaze of Lights according to Paula Scott of the Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce.
This year’s event is Saturday, Nov. 25.

Parade

Junior Weihrauch, parade director, said that over 75 units are already registered. The parade forms at 4 p.m. on Snider Road at the Bluffton Community Swimming Pool. The parade starts at 5 p.m.

Maria Hernandez, a mathematics and physics double major, is engaging and growing in her Mennonite faith while offering her voice and insight to the community.
he junior from Alamo, Texas, serves as a student representative for Bluffton University on the Mennonite Central Committee’s Great Lakes Board.
“I thought this would be a good opportunity to meet people and be able to be involved more in Mennonite society, as I grew up Mennonite,” she said.
