FROM ADA ICON - A Ladies Luncheon will be held at ONU on Saturday, Nov. 11. The Luncheon is free, reservations are not required. Ten consultants, representing various companies with clothing and other merchandise, will be on hand from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The event will be held in the Affinity Room along Polar Bear Way. This is in the set of residence halls along West Lima Avenue.
Bluffton police reported 549 calls for service during October. Of those calls 37 were reportable offenses and seven were traffic crashes, according to Tyler Hochstetler, police sergeant. The report follows:

Birchaven Village has been named to the list of Best Nursing Homes 2017-18 by U.S. News & World Report. This is the third time Birchaven has been named to this prestigious list.
To qualify as a Best Nursing Home, facilities had to earn an average of 4.5 stars or better during 10 months of federal reports ending in August 2017 and had to consistently meet certain performance standards set by U.S. News during the period, such as earning at least four stars in the CMS overall rating for all 10 months.
Prior to 1897 Bluffton residents' water came from wells. The town-wide water system developed shortly after that.
Here is one of the most unusual photos of Bluffton you will ever see. It's a test of water pressure in 1897 or 1898. The test occurred during the opening of the Bluffton water plant. It demonstrated that the pressure enabled water to shoot higher than Main Street buildings, a plus for the fire department.
Bluffton University’s Grace Albrecht Gallery will host “Eclectic Works on Paper” by Dexter Davis.

The Bowling Green event will be held Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Bowling Green Park Scout Building, 520 Conneaut Avenue, Bowling Green.
