Dale G. Fall, 60, died on Tuesday, April 9, 2019, at 5:40 p.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center, Findlay.

He was born on April 11, 1958, in Kenton, Ohio, to Nelson and Winifred (Stewart) Fall.  His father preceded him in death and his mother survives in Kenton. On June 24, 2004, Dale married Sharon Hollon and she survives in McGuffey.

Dale was a self-employed truck driver and was owner of Fall & Son Container Service.

Part of the ‘Living Through Loss’ Series on April 15

The April presentation of the “Living through Loss” series will be held on Monday, April 15 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and titled “Grief and Tough Topics.” This presentation will take place in the Marathon Auditorium at Blanchard Valley Hospital located at 1900 South Main Street in Findlay.

“Grief and Tough Topics” will offer discussion on difficult questions and how to answer them, how to deal with difficult family members and much more. Some topics may truly be tough to discuss, but attendees will learn how to approach them, respond in a healthy way and continue forward.

Interstate 75 southbound will be restricted to one lane on Thursday April 11, in the following locations for guardrail and cable rail barrier repair. Work is being performed by the ODOT District 1 roadway services department.

• Interstate 75 southbound just south of Napoleon Road, south of Beaverdam

• Interstate 75 southbound just north of the Auglaize County line, south of Lima

• Classes for 3-year-olds and 4-5-year-olds • Three open houses set Saturday, Sunday and Tuesday

St. Mary’s Catholic Church  announces its launch of St. Mary’s Catholic Christian Preschool, which will open in time for the 2019-20 school year. The first class is held on Sept. 4.

This weekend's  Bluffton High School musical takes its audience to the land of Oz.

Bluffton High School will present “The Wizard of Oz,” in three shows April 12-13-14.

Performances are at 7:30 p.m., Friday and Saturday, April 12-13, and at 2 p.m., Sunday, April 14, in the middle school cafetorium.

Geared for 2019-20 school year students

Bluffton Comunity Preschool will hold an open house at the end of April.

The event is from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Thursday, April 25, in the Bluffton Presbyterian Church, 111 N. Main St., Bluffton.

The open house is geared for preschool students for next school year. Persons attending may see the classrooms and learn about the program.

Classes are open to a sign-up enrollment and class spots are limited and filling quickly.

The local chapter of TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) in Bluffton, recently learned that one of its members is a 2018 winner with pounds lost.

Gloria Kershner won at the state competition in her division, and is second internationally.

Bluffton TOPS meets every Tuesday evening at the St. John's United Church of Christ.  Weigh in is at 5:30 p.m.

Seven Bluffton High School musicians are in this year's Lima Area Youth Orchestra.

The orchestra performs at 7 p.m., Sunday, April 14, in the Lima Senior High Auditorium. Tickets are $10 at the door.

Area Agency on Aging 3 raising awareness

Area Agency on Aging 3, in commemoration of National Crime Victims’ Rights Week (NCVRW), April 7–13, is hoping to raise awareness about crime victims’ issues and rights and introduce the community to the important resources and services available. According to the most recent Bureau of Justice Statistics’ National Crime Victimization Survey, U.S. residents age 12 or older experienced 3.1 million violent victimizations and U.S. households experienced an estimated 13.3 million property crimes in 2017.
