The SHANNON Service Club (Sharing Hopes And Nourishing Needs of Neighbors) released its list of sponsors of its 2019 Main Street flag project, according to Duane Bollenbacher of the club.
Flags are sponsored by individuals in memory of, or in honor of someone. The list of sponsors is attached below.

ARLINGTON - Host Arlington clipped the Bluffton volleyball team in four sets Tuesday evening in a non-league match.
Bluffton lost 25-17, 25-23, 22-25, 25-17 to fall to 3-2 this season (0-0 NWC).
Kills - Kylie Stackhouse led the Pirates with 15 kills, three aces and two blocks. Taylor Schwab contributed six kills, 14 digs, two aces and three blocks.
Libby Schaadt added five kills while setter Skyler Scoles doled out 26 assists.

BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton whipped Columbus Grove 9-0 in girls soccer Northwest Conference action Tuesday evening.
The Lady Pirates improved to 2-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the NWC with their second straight league win. CG fell to 0-3 overall and 0-1 in the NWC with the defeat.
Bluffton's Laykin Garmatter and Reagan Mitterndorf each tallied three goals to pace the onslaught. Kayla White scored a pair of goals, and Lauren Rhodes added one goal.
Registration is open for Fall Session 2 group exercise and youth programs at Bluffton Family Recreation, according to Daniel Tinch, executive director.

Men's Golf
The Bluffton University men jumped into action feet first with a 36-hole day at the UNOH Invitational at Hidden Creek. Playing on one its home courses, the Beavers lived up to expectations with a flurry of rounds in the 70's and not a score over 89 all day
Freshman Evan Kujawa (Toledo/Whitmer) started fast with a 73 and he followed that up with a slick 78 on the final 18 to top the Beavers with a 151 for the day.
Sean E. Leuthold ’88, Common Pleas Court Judge of Crawford County, and Shane M. Leuthold ’92, Municipal Court Judge of Crawford County, will present the Forum “The Policy of Stop-and-Frisk and its Impact on American Civil Liberties and the Right to Privacy.”
The event will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17, in Yoder Recital Hall. Forum is free and open to the public.
The judges will evaluate the background, expansion and future implications of the stop-and-frisk policy, particularly how it can lead to unconstitutional racial and ethnic profiling.

BLUFFTON - Host Bluffton ended the game with 21 unanswered points to defeat local non-league rival Cory-Rawson 42-26 in their traditional opener at Harmon Field Friday night.
Four turnovers and a blocked punt cost the Hornets mightily.

The Pirates led 21-20 at halftime. But with just 40 seconds left in the third period, C-R scored on a 21-yard pass to grab a five-point lead. The two-point conversion pass failed, keeping the margin at 26-21.

PLAIN CITY - Visiting Bluffton defeated Jonathan Alder 4-1 in boys soccer non-league action Saturday.
The win lifted the Pirate record to 5-1 this season.
The match was scoreless at halftime. But Bluffton's Jonathan Schriner authored a second half hat trick to lead Bluffton to victory. He scored in the 57th, 75th and 78th minutes.
Pirate Jude Spallinger started the scoring with a goal two minutes into the second half.
