The Bluffton University football team went up 18-0 and made that lead hold up in a 32-20 victory at Anderson University on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021. Bluffton improved to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in the Heartland Conference, while the Ravens had their Homecoming ruined as they stayed winless at 0-5 and 0-2 in the HCAC.

With the loss, the record of the ninth-ranked Pirates fell to 10-3-2. Western Buckeye League leader Shawnee improved to 12-1 with the victory.
Indian junior Sam Tenwalde netted the first goal 23 minutes into the contest. Junior Austin Miller then extended the Shawnee lead to 2-0 with a goal at the 32:22 juncture.

The program included information about recent runway improvements funded by a $1 million grant as well as the daily operations of the facility from host Nick Vance of Bluffton Flying Service. After an Oct. 1, 2021, groundbreaking, construction is now underway on the Austin E. Knowlton Science Center at Bluffton University. The two-story, nearly 20,000 square foot building will feature six labs, faculty offices and interactive collaborative space for students.
The event kicked off Homecoming and Alumni Weekend 2021 at Bluffton with more than 100 people gathered for the ceremony.
