And it's only $5.50 a pound
Bob Painter weighs a bag of peanut brittle just out of the Bluffton Senior Center kitchen. Senior center volunteers started making this year’s supply on Nov. 2 and will end production on Nov. 30. The candy may be purchased during regular business hours now until Christmas. The price is the same as last year at $5.50 a pound. Peanut brittle is one of the center’s biggest fundraisers and among its oldest traditions. The recipe is the same used in 1974 when the first batch was created. Last year, the center sold out of brittle the week before Christmas, so don’t wait.
