Public meeting schedule for Village of Bluffton

The Village of Bluffton has announced the following public meeting to be held at Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main.

Personnel Committee on Monday, February 20 at noon.

Ordinance Committee on Monday, February 20 at 5:00 p.m.

Safety Services Committee on Monday, February 20 at 6:00 p.m.

Tree Commission on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:00 p.m.

Bluffton Beyond Tomorrow on Wednesday, February 22 at 7:30 p.m.

BHS boys basketball win vs Black Knights

The visiting Bluffton High School boys basketball team rode a big third period to defeat Van Buren 60-49 in a non-league bout Tuesday night, February 14.

The Pirates trailed just 28-26 at halftime, and took control of the game with an 18-8 third stanza. They then won the fourth quarter 16-13 to capture the contest going away by 11.

Join Hancock Park District for ‘Maple Sugarin'

FINDLAY- Spring is almost here and the temperatures are starting to fluctuate. This means that conditions are right for collecting maple tree sap. Step back in time to see the process the pioneers and Native Americans used to collect sap, transport it to the sugar bush, and boil it down to produce sweet maple syrup.

Sharon Jean Knepper worked for Bluffton College

Sharon Jean Knepper, 83, passed away February 14, 2023 at Optimized Senior Living in Lebanon, Ohio. Sharon was born March 6, 1939 in Lima to the late Gordon and Evelyn Jean (Smiley) Allison Berry. On May 7, 1960 she married Robert Knepper who preceded her in death on July 23, 2007.

Brandon Blackford receives Certified Exit Planning Advisor® Designation

Financial Advisor Brandon Blackford of the financial services firm Edward Jones in Bluffton has received the Certified Exit Planning Advisor®, or CEPA®, designation through the Exit Planning Institute(TM).

This designation provides specific education on how to help business owners have a successful exit by discussing business readiness, strengthening personal financial strategies and aligning them to personal goals. The course of CEPA® study expands a financial advisor's knowledge base in the following business-focused areas:

Bluffton Forum to focus on the relationship between social media and authenticity

BLUFFTON, Ohio—Dr. Tasha R. Dunn, associate professor of communication at the University of Toledo, will share “Social MEdia: The Challenges and Possibilities of Authenticity in the Digital Age,” at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 28 in Yoder Recital Hall.

During the presentation, Dunn will highlight the increasingly dynamic relationship between social media and authenticity, along with the challenges and possibilities of this phenomenon for civic engagement.
