His idea intrigued twin brothers Norris and Ross McWhirter to publish the Guinness Book of World Records. The first book hit the bestseller list by Christmas of 1955. The book is currently published in 100 countries in 23 languages. The publisher maintains over 53,000 records.

The Mustang girls fell to 10-10 with the defeat, while the Pirates improved to an identical 10-10 mark with the narrow win.
