Anabaptist Political Theology After Marpeck

A book release celebration for “Anabaptist Political Theology After Marpeck” will take place at 4 p.m. on April 27, in the Musselman Library Reading Room on the campus of Bluffton University

Co-edited by J. Denny Weaver, Gerald Mast and Trevor Bechtel, the book of essays is published by Cascadia Publishing House and is the latest volume in Bluffton University’s C. Henry Smith series.

Joanne Antibus, 67, of Bluffton, passed away on April 22, 2022 at her residence.  A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

The Bluffton High School baseball team was shut out 8-0 by visiting Crestview in a Northwest Conference makeup game Friday evening, April 22.

The Pirates dropped to 2-9 overall and 1-2 in the NWC after the league defeat. The game was originally snowed out this past Monday.

Crestview improved to 7-2 overall and 3-1 in NWC play with the shutout win. 

Bluffton visits non-league foe Kalida (7-5) Saturday, then hosts defending league champion Lincolnview (7-3, 4-0 NWC) Monday, April 25.

The Bluffton varsity softball team battled hard against visiting perennial power Crestview before losing 8-6 in a Northwest Conference makeup game Friday evening.

The Pirate girls had their five-game win streak snapped with the tough defeat.

Crestview improved to 12-1 overall and stayed first in the NWC at 4-0 by winning the game between the last two unbeaten teams in league play.

The Lady Pirates fell to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the NWC with the loss.
