The lawn mowers are running, how about your classic cars and those that just have something special? On April 25, Bluffton Cars & Coffee announced that its 2025 season will open on Saturday, May 24.

This "informal gathering for enthusiasts and their cars" will take place monthly on the following dates:

In a program that is open to the public, the Bluffton Lions Club will hear about the community work and broadcast career of Bob Ulm, who often speaks of the specific issues he faces as someone who is totally blind.

Ulm will speak at the Lions Club noon meeting on Tuesday, May 20, on the third floor of Bluffton Town Hall, 154 N. Main St.

His full time broadcast career began in June 1974 and he has been on the air continuously longer than any other local radio voice.

BLUFFTON – The Bluffton High School boys varsity tennis squad lost a tight 3-2 battle to visiting Bryan on Thursday evening, April 24.

The Pirate net record dropped to 7-2 with the close defeat.  

Bluffton senior Jack Brauen won his third singles bout 7-6 (7-5 tiebreaker), 6-3.

The Pirate duo of Grady Coonfare and Isaiah Kohli teamed up to cruise to victory at first doubles 6-1, 6-2.

Bluffton senior Branson Hilty lost 6-0, 6-0 at first singles.

Nick Lovett fell 6-1, 6-2 at second singles.

CONVOY – The visiting Bluffton High School baseball team lost 8-0 at Northwest Conference rival Crestview Thursday, April 24.
The Pirates fell to 6-8 overall and 1-2 in NWC play with the defeat.

Crestview improved to 6-6 overall and 4-1 in the NWC after the win.

The Knights scored four runs in the fourth to build a 5-0 lead. The hosts tacked on three more scores in the sixth to put it out of reach.

CONVOY - The visiting Bluffton High School girls softball team lost 10-2 to Northwest Conference rival Crestview on Thursday, April 23.

The Pirate girls drop to 2-6 overall and 1-2 in the NWC with the loss. Crestview improved to 6-10 and 3-1 in NWC play after the decisive win.

The Knight girls led 5-1 after three innings of play and never trailed. Bluffton scored single runs in the third and fourth frames.
