Community building Oct. 24 forum topic
Youth minister, John Collart will present "Building Community, Serving Communities," at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 24, in Founders Hall, as a part of Bluffton University's weekly Forum series. The event is free and open to the public.
Collart has been served in youth ministry for the past 20 years. He has been involved in the planning and leading of retreats, Bible studies and many trips. Collart has taken youth to Canada, Germany and Australia and for the past 16 years, he has been involved in the Y.E.S Project; a service project that brings 70 high school students for a week each summer to help fix up homes of needy and elderly people.
Collart was born in Weirton, W.Va., and attended Bowling Green State University. He also works in the sporting good industry. Formerly the owner of several retail stores, he now supplies equipment to area high schools and colleges.
