Our scientific snow survey and more
Our extremely scientific poll of early November asked viewers when we would experience the first snowfall of the season.
Figuring that Dec. 7 was that significant event, we referred to our poll (see previous polls). Here's what viewers predicted:
21 percent said it would snow by Nov. 14
44 percent said it would snow between Nov. 15 and Nov. 30
36 percent said it would not snow until December.
And more...
Ever wonder how many out-of-towners come to Bluffton to view the holidays lights around town in December. Our best way to judge that is our Dow Jones Map Averages.
Here's how it works. The Bluffton Area Chamber of Commerce places maps in the mailbox located on the Presbyterian Church lawn. The maps provide a list of locations in Bluffton to check out for holiday lights.
Since Nov. 28 150 maps have been picked up at the mail box. Based upon this count, we are way above 2008, when 225 total maps were distributed from the mail box from the Blaze to ec. 31.
