The most recent confab took place in his repair shop while talking with Tom and his son, Mike. The topic under discussion was the last half century of the Bluffton auto repair business. It covers lots of miles.

Bluffton Area Ministerial Association's Procession of the Cross Good Friday tradition continued this year. The procession started at St. Mary's Catholic Church, proceeded to First United Methodist, First Mennonite, St. John's UCC, English Lutheran and to Bluffton Presbyterian. There, a Good Friday service was conducted. Additional photos are in this series.

BLUFFTON - Lady Pirate junior Libby Schaadt fired a five-inning perfect game to lead host Bluffton to a 10-0 shellacking of Spencerville in a Northwest Conference softball mismatch Thursday evening.
Schaadt struck out 11 and allowed no Bearcat to reach base in her perfectoe. Her record is now 12-1.
The Lady Pirates extended their win streak to 13 games and improved their season record to 14-1 with the lopsided win.
Bluffton also improved to 5-0 in league action to stay in first place, a game ahead of Crestview.
Doty’s Auto Repair and Alignment, open in 1983 by Tom Doty, will become Doty’s Auto Repair and Wheel Alignment, LLC, owned and operated by Tom’s son, Mike on May 1.
“The business will continue offering all the repair and wheel alignment services and great customer service we’ve always offered,” said Mike. “The only thing that’s changing is that Dad is stepping away from the business.”
In Scripture we hear of a time when Jesus was asked, “What must I do to inherit eternal life?” The response was, “Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, strength, and mind; and love your neighbor as yourself.” While the one asking the question understood loving God, there was a follow-up question, “And who is my neighbor?”
