The March dinner meeting for members of the Bluffton Senior Citizen Center will take place on Monday, March 10 at noon. This is a potluck meal with soup provided by the center. Please bring a dish to share.

For more information about membership, call or visit the center at 132 N. Main St. Dues may be paid in person at the center, by mailing a check or over the phone with a credit card. The member newsletter is available by standard mail or by email.

Emmanuel United Church of Christ, 8375 Phillips Rd, Bluffton, will host a fish fry on Friday, March 14 from 4:00-7:00 p.m.

The cost is $12/meal, dine in or carry out.

Carry out includes up to 3 pieces of fish, cheesy potatoes, green beans, applesauce and cookie.

There will be separate lines for dine in and carry out.

Michael John “Mike” Shelly, 53, passed away on January 23, 2025, due to complications from recent health issues. Born on May 5, 1971, in Lima, Ohio, he was adopted as a young child by Ralph and Helen Shelly, who nurtured him with love and devotion in Bluffton, Ohio. Mike later reconnected with his birth mother, Karen (Henderson) McClendon, a reunion that was meaningful for them both.

Cast and production team announced 

Bluffton University will present its spring play, "Popcorn Falls," by James Hindman on April 3-6.

Performances will be at 7:30 p.m. April 3-5 and 2:30 p.m. on April 6 in Ramseyer Auditorium, College Hall. All seats are reserved, and tickets are available at www.bluffton.edu/tickets. Tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for senior citizens, Bluffton University faculty and staff and non-Bluffton University students, and free for Bluffton University students.
